The Government of the Lao PDR recently completed a national roll-out of Primary Trauma Care Training in all seventeen provinces with a focus on training emergency medical providers in district hospitals. Currently, the Lao PDR has over 96 trained certified PTC trainers and has training 348 health providers.. Funding provided by the United States Government helped fund this collaborative effort between the Lao PDR Ministry of Health, the University of Health Sciences and Health Leadership International between November 2018 and November 2020.
